Is there a forum we can post all the Mickey mouse drs who allow, often encourage even to take pills? Some Dre wont prescribe 1 without the other because the combo is more addictive. So many people keep saying if I only knew, well the Dr does & they exploit us much like we do them.
Is there a way to bring awareness without telling people where to score from a shady pill pusher?

but we also have a responsibility to be responsible for ourselves.. We are our best advocates.. Dr's are not Gods.. they are fallible.. when do we take responsibility ? I can understand going in blind for depression our even pain.. but as you and I both know we feel when we are loosing and not being responsible.. taking a med as a drug addict is like inviting the inevitable abuse.. at some time we have to take responsibility for our own recovery care..I have 3 plates 16 screws in my foot Yes it hurts but I would rather live with my Pain.. My Dr. will give me pain meds as he has a responsibility but I have a responsibility to myself to live the best way as I can.. this is being drug free.. I have stage 3 kidney disease with only one..  hep C at  stage 2 liver disease last I checked but again it is my responsibility how I deal with my pains health,, My Dr. is very proud of my thinking because I would rather live with this then to live with no feeling at all..

But we put our trust in there hands otherwise its selfmedicating. Sleeping pills tranquilizers sedatives benzos anti this and that. I definitely took full advantage of the situation but come on he had to know it wasn't right just like I did. That's why they make the big bucks, right? They know more and have a responsibility to e responsible

This is a interesting topic.. But as a long drug time addict I always knew the danger of prescription drugs.. It would bring me comfort to think that the Dr.'s were responsible for my perception drug addiction but the reality is They give literature with every prescription.. I also knew the possibility's of addiction any time I took a drug that altered my state of mind.. It reminds me of the time I told a Nurse Practitioner I was allergic to all the penicillin family.. she asked me what my side effects were I said I do not know my mom always just said I could not take them.. she was not satisfied with this and gave me a illen. my faced swelled and I had trouble breathing I was ordered to stop taking them immediately.. I went to my Dr. bitching about her inadequacy and he said to me Your the one that took them.. taught me a Big lesson.. we are responsible for what we put into out mouth  body.. nobody else but ourselves.. lesa

Watch how many people start getting prescribed seroquil (spelling? )just watch the damage, it wont be long, it was used for psychotics ones with (?again the spelling) skitsofrania (3am, I can make up words if I want right now) anyways now it for sleeping and 20 other things I'm sure... just say no ;-!

You are sooo rite! people do have pain i understand but when i was buying pill's one women would alway'say oh my bk as she was giving me the pill's or should i say selling me the pill's $6 a pop she would try to make me feel bad it was just all part of her trying to get money from me she didn't need those damn pill's maybe a damn asprin when i think abt people that sell pill's and other drug's andthe scam's they pul to get moremoney i wanna puke.

Some of the people in the cronic pain forum don't know what they are getting into. I was reading about a girl that wont have a nerve block done because she is afraid to lose her hydrocodone. I would bet that 50 percent or more of the people there don't even suffer from cronic pain at all. Their Dr's just got them hooked and their to ashamed to admit they are addicted and have a problem. The White House claims they are going to do something about this and have gathered some "staff" to address the issues.  Hopefully something good will come of this but will have to wait and see.  They are cracking down hard on doctors here in Minnesota.  Online pharmacies are illegal.  There was a bill passed in a young mans name who died ordering meds this way.  Pharmacies are all connected now so it would be hard to be dr shopping anymore.  Thank God i am no longer living this insanity~~~~~~sara

yeah, well cause we are still addicts.....haha what a trigger..." go to Dr.Pillpasser" in nashville tn, that loser gives anythin".....me like 5 seconds later..."411" "umm yeah, I need Dr Pillpasser in nashville tn please" lol, not a good idea---that be a relapse in the making. But back to point, I do know what you mean- Its a huge problem and after being clean a lil while it does make you wanna bring light to it---but when they close one "pillmill" two more opens, its sad but its gona take an act of congress//goverment to put a dent in this problem, and well---all i am gona say about that is " I dont see it being on the top of their agenda. Thats why we have this site----helping one addict at a time and in turn that helps us!

Pain pill addiction is the fastest growing problem in America......so so sad.  This forum brings the reality of the struggles with all drugs out in the open.

We cant list any of the doctors on the open forum.  Policy guidelines.
