Hi bamachic24! You're already 6 days off - you're good, the worst is over. JUST DON'T USE! If you've ever heard it referred to as a roller coaster ride, this is exactly why. There will be ups and downs, but from here on out, overall, you're headed up.
justsaynotodrugs, that's really bad advice. Plenty of people come off of much stronger and higher amounts of opiates cold turkey, and unless there's an underlying condition, it's not dangerous. If you're not an addict, it's hard to understand, but most of us can't taper. We say we're going to, and we really mean to. We say we'll start tomorrow. The problem is, tomorrow we say the same thing.
Being on hydro for years will cause you to lose it. you need to taper rather than cold turkey. An anybody who says you lucky to have wds dont no how bad you can feel. So get to your Health care provider and get some help you need to come off this slowly. Then you may need treatment and substance abuse meetings. Hang in there get help and keep posting.
Not everyone has severe WDs. You are having some WD symptoms. Consider yourself lucky.
Hey I just wanted to let you know that my withdrawal symptoms moved much slower than most around here. I have seen some people dodge severe withdrawals all together but for me, my worst weeks seemed to be 2-4. It was all back uphill from there for me. I was told by my therapist that my body may have metabolized things differently than most so I was moving along at a slower pace.
Good luck to you and hang in there. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. That's what I did and I'm on day 73. No relapse yet.
