Thank you all so much~
Just what I needed to hear.
Love you all~
The muscle relaxer works really well for the RLS, and it's such a low dose that you don't get that lethargic feeling. The one I use is Zanaflex .5mg, it works wonders!!
And yes...... MUSIC! It soothes the soul!
I remember days 3 & 4 being the worst for me...now I'm on day 9 and I feel great!
Drink plenty of fluids, take Immodium, Advil for aches & pains, a good calcium/magnesium/zinc supplement to help if you get the "creepy/crawly" skin feeling. Be sure to eat too! I lived on bananas and PB & J sandwiches. Also hot baths with Epsom salts...live in the bath if you have to! And finally....get some excercise...get those endorphins flowing to relieve some of the symptoms......You are almost there and you are doing great! Keep it up!
Hang in there, it will get better :) I'm on day 4 and I finally got a good nights sleep, so there is hope so stay focused and stay tough. What I finally tried, which really helped me sleep, was a low dose muscle relaxer. I took one before bed with a melatonin and 2 advil PM and I slept great !! What I also found that really helped through the day was getting outside as much as possible. What you will find when you go outside is the fantastic smell of the fresh air and it truly revitalizes you. You could also try listening to your favorite music, you know the music you used to listen to before the pills. It reminds you of the good times before this horrible addiction. These are just some of the things that worked for me and I thought I would share them with you :) Take care, be strong and God bless. We are all here together to help one another <3 Dave
Hang in there, your not alone. Believe me it does get better. Take walks even short ones. Hot baths and advice in other comments. There are alot of people that are going through what you are going through. Drink plenty. But remember please don't give up.
