Norco Addiction -Thomas Recipe

I have been taking 10/325 Norco's 6-7 pills daily for over 6 years now my pain dr decreased the norco to 4 pills a day.
I have been trying to ween myself off them period, I am having HORRIBLE nausea, feeling like I want to climb the climb the walls, Jump out of my skin, can't sleep.  I started taking Wellbutrin, I take Xanax sometimes to get me to sleep, Soma's to help with the pain.
I want to go start this recipe, It says its not recommened with some MAOI's - Is Wellbutrin one of them?  Also, what if I stop the Well butrin and start the Thomas Recipe, can I still take the Norco (Weening Off of course) with the recipe?
Please Help I cannot go through another night feeling like this!!

7 days ago, I was right where you are now. I had just flushed my Norco friends down the toilet. I was taking usually 3/day which was down from the 6/day I was being prescribed. It was just time for me to stop. I have to say that the first day was from...well...you know exactly, I'm sure. I felt like I would come out of my skin. I didn't have the nausea, just severe diarrhea (not fun). The Thomas recipe, hot baths for muscle cramps, Melatonin for sleep and cranberry-apple juice got me through. Although these things did help, it was still terrible and the support on this forum is the ONLY thing that got me through the long days and nights. I really feel like there is a light now and I'm going to make it. Until last week, there hadn't been one day without a pill in over 15 years. If I can do this, so can you. Keep posting and try hang in there!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Don't worry- Wellbutrin is not an MAOI. I think it would be unwise to stop it as I'm sure your doctor put you on it for good reasons. Also, if you've been on it a while it can be best to taper off gradually.

You could still take the reducing Norco along with the recipe, although it is really intended to ease the withdrawal symptoms once you've stopped completely.

If you ask your pharmacist for travel sickness tablets, these can help with nausea- but don't take too many as they can make your muscles twitch!

Keep posting (including in the middle of the night if you're awake). We'll give you as much advice and support as you want.

Take care
