flying in a few hours extreme anxiety

Almost done with day 9 here and freaking out.  The planes are rerouted over my house when it rains and I could literally throw up when I hear or see one.  A panic attack on the ground is bad enough I can't fathom one in the air with me and my toddler.  
I called my doctor yesterday first thing for anti-anxiety and her nurse called me this afternoon and said she was out of the office.  
Talk me down please!

I have never taken soma, so not sure. You better get some good sleep now as the rest will have you more balanced. HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!! You'll be just fine. Bring a book for you and toys for your angel.

I have nighty nite tea and advil.   I also have a soma, will that calm nerves?  I have only ever taken it in the wee hours after not sleeping.

It's a red eye, we take off in 5 hours.  I am fine once we get in the air, the anticipation, taking off and landing is when I struggle.

When is your flight? Bring a tea bag of bedtime or sleepy time tea. Ask for some hot water on the flight and relax.You will be fine. Also bring a blanket in case it's cold on the plane for comfort. For me advil relaxed me when I can't sleep, maybe take one? Wishing you lots of luck.....let us know how ya make out.

Hey Smiles, You will be just fine. As you know planes are safer than traveling in a car. Bring things to keep you busy while waiting to board and on the plane. Focus on your child and know she/he will pick up your vibe if your nervous. Even if you get an anti anxiety med, you don't want to be loopy while flying right? Fear of flying is all about control, the more lucid you are the better. Question....Did your fear flying before detox?
