how can i make heroin detox easier? I want to stop so bad but the pain is unbareable! any suggestions?

Definitely go to NA - Saved my life and showed me a whole new way to live.... Google N meetings in your area.. Try getting a Doc to use Subutex or Suboxone for no more than 2 weeks than cut the suboxone slowly - less of a kick - just do not stay on the Suboxone for more than 2-3 weeks..... You can do it!!!

Hi jj Welcome to the forum. There is no getting out of wd but if you have the determination and courage to give it a go we have tips on how to ease it. they last about a week and it takes awhile to shake the leftovers but in the end you are Free. anytime I came off H I was broke so I had to do with home remedies but if you can plan this I would suggest getting benadryl (runny nose sniffles) hylands restful leg (rls) at walmart also valerian root (anxiety) these are natural supplements..imodium tonic water (for rls) bandannas, soup and some gatorade.. if you can not get these things Hot baths as many as you can take showers work also use a hot water bottle our heating-pad on the small of your back drink a lot of water take aspirin our any pain reliever you have. try to eat small meals.. I know in the first days you will find it almost impossible to move but as soon as you can get moving.. walking it really helps tremendously. it would be good if you can turn to someone you trust to give you outside support and we here at the forum will help you through.. turn your phone off.. ya really have to give up every aspect of your life that revolved around heroin change people places and things.. some of us moved just to put distance between us and our connections.. there is also rehab if you feel you can not do this alone and you can turn to someone for help.. AA and NA are free and a good place to get support.. Yes the pain is just about unbearable but life as a heroin addict was unbearable.. I hope you stay around read some post with questions our if you just need support.. You can do this ya just have to be sick of being sick and a very strong desire to be free.. take care, lesa
