Taking seven 10/325's a day is a recipe for suicide from liver damage. The problem is not the opiate. You must stop the norco immediately. If you must have an opiate (and cannot lose the addiction) then find a physician who will prescribe oxycontin or oxycodone. Other than that there are many detox and withdrawal programs, and many on Medhelp have far more experience with them and more current experience than I.
Bitty is right - Tramadol is just a very bad substitute. If you really want to get clean, then you need to look at non- med ways to help.
I was on Norco 10s, 7 to 8 a day for about 3 years. I abused pain meds for 15 years, BUT I got clean ( 6 months July 1st). It wasn't easy, I won't lie to you. You will go through a couple of very difficult days. It will be no different than what you experienced 6 months ago; and if you do nothing diffent now then you may relapse again. Doing something diffent is the key - prepare for the detox... get Gatorade, Ensure. Read the posts on this forum and see what others have done. Most importantly, cut ALL sources. You said that in your second day of detox you saw a doc and he wrote you a script. If that option is still available now, why will anything be different from six months ago? It won't. You have to tell your doc, dentist, pharmacy that you are an addict and should be red flagged as such. Tell any friends who have drugs that you're trying to get clean and they should never give you any meds, even if you ask. If this is your time, then you have to take the steps; it may be embarassing and difficult, but only you can decide. We will be here to help.
Stay away from the tramado! Far far away! That stuff is even more worse to come off of than the norco. You dont want to re-place one drug for another.
