I was prescribed morphine and hydrocodone from the VA.I see a lot of people on this site asking how to get off these pills without the horrifying withdraws.it's possible but you control the detox.I was on 180 mg.morphine a day, here's the facts. At that level it will take 8-9 months by reducing the dose by 15 mg a month.I told my Dr.to help me by lowering my prescription each month.I'm on my last month now at 15 mg.a day and have had no withdrawal symptoms at all.here's where you're ******.you buy them on the street and you will never get off them.you will die a lonely Broke junkey in a dark Ally.

My doctor and many others suggest skipping one day then two days for the final stages. Drink amino acid shakes, take vitamins, eat real clean, and avoid caffeine, red meat, processed foods, and anything not GOOD for you. Set a regular exercise routine and take lots of hot epsom salt baths. To me, the goal is to support your natural healing power in your body is the best. It will take some preperation and time, but it will pass and be worth it. Also, try to make sure other anxieties arent hanging over your head. If it takes therapy, then deal with whatever drove you to use in the first place, if you havent.
