Hi Lee!
Congrats on your 3 days of freedom!
Try to exercise, I know it sounds completely impossible to you but even a lil walk will help. It will boost your endorphin level and make you sweat which is always good while detoxing. Take baths as hot and as many as you can. There's something called epsom salts that seem to work wonders for some, give it a try...
Read the Thomas' recipe and the amino acid protocol in the health pages, if you scroll all the way down this page, bottom right.
Keep us posted on your progress! Best of luck to you.
xoxoxo. Sophie.
how long were you on them, at what dose and did you taper down or just go CT? you may want to see a doctor for an anti-anxiety or BP med that so many speak of here. Hang in there...Day 3 is the average day for being the worst day of WD and things usually start to improve some after that. SO keep hanging on, youre almost past the worst of it!
First off, why is your name pathetic? If you are an addict and detoxing, the doctor might not prescribe you a benzpdiazapien(such as clonopin or ativan on xanax) because they are addictive. The shakes suck. Everything about detoxing *****. I detoxed cold turkey from a ten year heroin addiction. It might not of been the smartest and most comfortable way to do it, but I had was so disgusted with myself, My mother and I locked me up in a room for 2 weeks. It worked but sucked. The only thing that got me through it was prayer. I asked God for faith and stability every single day, and he gave it to me. I also took warm baths to help with my body aches and shakes. Also, you probably drink coffee, right? Bad idea for the shakes. If you have to get up early and drink coffee, I completley understand. But if there is anyway you can do without the caffiene, do it. Also, take a walk. Or just any kind of movement will help tremendously. It will be hard to get the motivation, but once the blood starts circulating in your body, you will feel ten times better. Not only will you feel better physically, but you will feel better mentally. It is rewarding knowing that you can do 'normal' things without the drugs. Any other questions, feel free to ask me. I am here.
Hi. You didn't say if you are quitting because you ran out or if you are just quitting. The doctor who prescribed the ms contin can prescribe a drug called clonidine. It helped me a whole bunch and stopped the shakes you are talking about.
i am in the same situation. i wish i knew, cant handle the shakes
