Can any one tell me what i can possibly take to reduce the back pain and leg pain im getting from a methadone detox, ive tried the common painkillers you can buy over the counter.

I thought you might want to know that tramadol (in Ultracet) has been considered a narcotic by a lot of doctors. I was told it wasn't a narcotic and then the information sheet at the pharmacy said it was. I was so confused and didn't know what to do because, like you, I have a past/present of drug addiction. I wanted to reply to this, but I know it's an old post

i wouldnt substitute one drug for another to help with pain. ones where u have to get a script anyway. use immodium or tylenol like clock work..you can do it!

Muscle relaxers, valium with caution, nuerontin, are things u can take...ibuprophen as well...massage..yoga/stretching and walking..hot soaks..a jacuzzi would be great but not one in my house...ice and heat alternating...be safe..hang tight

Hey, I am on day 3 and things arn't as bad as I thought, (so far) but I am using ultracet which is a non narcotic that my roommate had left over from a doc's visit! I am also using immodium and it seems to be making it easier on my ***! No offence with the language, hopefully? Anyhow, hang in there, I am!

Have you tried taking some Imodium? It is an anti-diarrhea med, but it might help with the aches and pains somewhat too. Also, try soaking in a hot bath. I spent lots of hours in my tub the first two weeks. Don't take too many OTC painkillers. They don't really help, and taking too many of them can damage your liver or kidneys.
