help

I have had a rough year and a half. I feel like my world is caving in on me. Ive been in a non pay status for over a year and my insurance was terminated today and I feel like giving up. Life is so hard and seems useless sometimes. What do you do when you feel like giving in? I take depression meds but they dont seem to be helping. What non med things help.

hi. keep yourself as busy as you can. by busy, i don't necessarily mean physically active----call a friend, read a book, write down a list of the good things in your life that you are grateful for, help another person with anything----and don't give up! take care, gm

I have an awesome lawyer and I expect justice to be done. This to takes time and causes more preasures. It all adds more weight on me. I try to keep this all balanced but it can easily get out of control if I don't watch out. Thanks

Is there anyway that you could consult with a lawyer to see if he can help you?  Sounds like you need some legal counciling to see if you can do something about your situation?

I broke my hip when attacked by a dog while at work. The dogs owners homeowners policy paid for my injuries. I was lucky that I did not have to sue. The extra I used to put my older kids through college. Then later my wife and I adopted three children. Then a year and a half ago my employer sent me home and it was ruled they dont have to pay me until Ive spent the "extra" from my injury. Well, I have already spent that money and until all has been accounted for(maybe six months) I will have no benifits. I deel with chronic hip pain and this just adds to everything. My family has been great and I wont give up because of what it would do to my wife and family. Thanks for letting me ramble.
The Federal Government can be so cruel as well as my employer but justice will happen someday. I just have to be forgiving ang true to myself. Thanks

Hey.. Try to hang in there.. Depression is so hard to handle sometimes.. For me, too.. So I know what you are going thru.. Why did your health ins. get cancelled?  I know that is a very scary thing, but right now I'd try to work out something w/ the state insurance program.  When things are so bad for me, I swear even venting on a website like this will be good for you.  I've even had to call the doctor on call before and just be like "I need to talk to someone, I can not handle things right now, This is what's going on....!"  They will be there for you.. I don't want you to build up all this stress and do something that I know many people will regret and You will regret, also. Be careful..
