how can you tell?

I have been on hydrocodone for 2 years now. I take only what is precribed to me 10mg 3x a day, i skip a day each week. I guess my question is am i addicted , and can someone tell me if this level of usage has any long term effects ? My doctor seems to be a pill pusher alwys asking me if i need more and not really concerned with any addiction side-effects.

staying at a prescribed dose that is low like urs is a good sign really..u r not escalating ur dose...wondering about it/whether u r addicted can always be a sign that u may be..and only u know..do u feel bad on the day u go without?  it is smart to do a drug holiday if u r using for pain long term...keep posting

If you ask, I think you know the truth...only you can decide when use becomes abuse.  What may I ask if I may do you take them for?  
They change the natural receptors to your brain that makes them on their own but when the opiate feeds that part of your brain it's not like a puzzle piece and your brain stops making the natural receptors on it's own....it's totaly a mind !@#$
