Hi,
As you're still on 6mg a day, you won't be coming off for a while yet.
And yes, I'm afraid there will be withdrawal symptoms when you do come off.
However, please trust me when I say that the fear is much worse than the reality. Your doctor and your counsellor will do this in a way which minimises withdrawals, and will be there to support you through it, as will everyone on this list.
Don't worry about it.
Take care
Thank you..It defentily will take baby steps..I am ready for whatever I have to do.. I am ready for life after suboxine.. so ready.. Its been a long drawn out process, trying to get clean, but i no that i am there...I wish u all the luck in the world with your recovery. stay strong and do the damn thing...
You may have to take baby steps at first. I have been on the suboxone program for about 18 months now. I am also in the process of starting my taper.I think the best way to do this is slow and steady. I think if you taper slow enough there wont be too many withdrawls, but I hear there are some. But then again everyone is different. I deffinately take this program serriously! It also saved my life. I give you a big high five for taking the next step to being free of opiates!!
