Tapered - Now Ready to Quit

I posted on here back in June about my addiction to Percocets.  I decided to do a VERY slow taper and started going down, very little by very little and I am now at the point to where I am taking only 3 per day.  It has NOT been easy.  I went down 5 mgs per month.  Friday is my last day on them and I will not be taking any on Saturday.

What can I expect?  I was at 4.5 percocets a couple of months ago and wound up stuck in Vegas because of weather of all things.  The withdrawals were horrible (I had not planned to be away that long and didn't have enough pills to last me another day).  My main symptoms were anxiety, muscle aches and restless leg syndrome.

When will the withdrawal symptoms subside?  Is there anything I can take to curb the restless legs?  That was awful, by the way... Especially being stuck on a 5 hour plane ride in a cramped seat.)  I have Xanax to help the anxiety and Ibuprofen for muscle aches.  What about sleeping?  Should I plan to have something for that?

How long will the symptoms of withdrawal last is my main concern.  I have 9 days off.  Is that sufficient time to withdrawal?

I think almost all of us use for that euphoric feeling and energy drugs give us once we become addicted. I dont' know a lot about pills just wanted to wish you luck on saturday. Im sure someone will come along with some more advice. you can look up the thomas recipe in the health pages in the top right, that will help. If your at 3 a day now your w/d's wont be as bad as someone taking 10 so it's doable. Hang in there and keep posting. Oh and i love your screen name, that is me, haha.

Sorry for the double postings, but I have one other question.  I think that my addiction to Percocets is due in part to the euphoria that it gives me.  Does the craving for that euphoric feeling go away?  How do I deal with craving that?

I am not depressed, at least I don't think so, but I simply LOVE the feeling I get when I take a Perc.  It "Percs" me up.

God - I dread Saturday, but at the same time, I am weirdly looking forward to it. Does that make sense?
