Hang in there and keep posting. Ask for help. We are all here to help you. I know you are in the middle of the worst of it now, but just think, in a day or two things will start to get easier. Please call a doctor or go to an ER and ask for help. There are things that the doctors can do to make this easier for you. Most importantly remember...you are NOT alone.

Hey Hey Hey! Take a step back, quit over thinking and analyzing and realize everyone here is ready to guide you through this. Realize how strong you are already! You're raising 2 boys. I bet they love you to death and look up to you for guidence. When I first started my withdrawals I remember thinking " As a father I will make it through this and I now know the signs to look for to make sure my kids never fall prey to this."
You have to realize that you didn't get to where you are overnight so, you can't get back to normal overnight. However, you will get back and be a better person for it. I do agree that you need to get medical attention ASAP! You're in a new town I understand but, all you have to do is talk with a Doctor. If you're meaningful, they will not deny you help. You will not be any Doctors first experience with this situation. I went cold turkey 23 days ago. Panic on day 6. Talk to my Doc and got lorazepam. On day 8 I cycled 19 miles in misty rain. See, how minimal the days are before things are better. Press forward friend, do not be ashamed for life is the hardest teacher. First she gives the test, then you get the lesson.

I need to reiterate that you should see your doctor. You said you have "other problems" .. which you can tend to use as a crutch..

During detox, Clonodine is a big help.. it takes the edge off and is not addictive..

I am now on Seroquel, which is an Antipsychotic medication.. Just took the morning dose.. Remember that the " other problems " aren't a reason to use, but they could be a part of the reason you did use..

Either way.. Opiates are a lousy mood stabilizer..  I self medicated for almost 11 years and am only 52 days clean..  Its been the toughest thing I have ever done.. which is why its worth it .

Hey, everything your describing is about normal. Its tough, but you can do it. I have other problems too and have empathy for you, but you can do it..

Day two is the absolute worst..

I would go to the doctor, or call the doctor..  There are things they can do to help.

One thing to consider is if your feeling so sick, just how toxic is this substance that you have been taking ??   Its something to think about.. It helped me with the will to keep going..

Another thing, you have an investment in time spent detoxing.. If you relapse, you will have to do it all again..

Take it one hour at a time.. each hour is a victory.. Your in the worst of it now..  Going to an NA meeting would be fantastic for you.. The people there would completely understand how your feeling.. As do we ..

Rember there only thoughts change them to good positive thoughts YOU CAN DO IT>....
Its only been 3 weeks or so, since i was on day 2.I hade the exact same thoughts that i could not do it.But i can and will continue to keep clean. I had 200 plus days clean the time before my recent relaps, but no mistakes this time as i beleive everytime we go through c/t it gets harder and scares me personaly to keep going through c/t . So this is my final battle with my deamon one i am winning and will win. You my friend dont want to keep on doing this. Do it this time for you and your kids and dont make the same mistakes i did and go pack as there is nothing like the last wee bit or the last pill. One will lead to two then three before you know it your back to square one. And have to do it all again so this is a hard day you would not want to go back to day 1 or day  2 again. So get yourself clean and keep staying clean i can promise you each and every clean day brings a smile to your face, you are worth it your kids desreve it.So fight today and tomorrow will be different better i hope it cant get any worse so baby steps bud one minute one day at a time. I wish you the best of luck and be proud your on day 2 cos its 3 tomorrow. And if things dont change go to ER im sure they can help you. ill pray for you and your kids tonight KEEP FIGHTING BUD YOU CAN DO IT,,,,,James

I think you should call your doctor, go to a clinic or ER.  Pysical withdrawals are bad but the mental withdrawals are tougher and last longer.  When I jumped cold turkey I thought I was loosing my mind.  Called my doctor on day three and he started me on a taper plan (thank God I had my husband to keep me accountable).  Its been 17 days since my last perc.  While the physical symptoms have improved greatly, I still have moments of anxiety and cravings.

You have come to the right place for support.  The people on this forum will embrace you and help you through this.  Check out the Health Pages at the top right of this page.  Thomas Recipe and vitamin protocol can help.

Know that you are not alone in this fight.  Everyone here is fighting to get and stay clean.  I'm praying for you (and me).  Be strong.  You can do this.

Well, if your boys are in school, then leep a bit.  There is a LOT of emotion that comes with kicking drugs -especially opiates.  Ive had friends in the Marines break down and cry and cry.  Its all part of the process. And guess what - its good for you.  Let that emotion out. There are things you can do to help though.  First, take some advil.  It may help *a little* with some of the joint pain.  Second, jump in a hot shower or bath.   When I was in one of my worst withdrawals, I spent days in the hot shower.  It is truly one of the best places to feel normal.  Third - Immodium.  It really helps.  WIll help with the stomache pain, and for some it helps other symptoms as well.  You are on day 2 so if you can sleep - sleep.  Tell your boys your not feeling too well, tell them you think you have the flu.  Plus, stay on here.  Keep posting and reading.  I rememebr how great it felt to not feel alone.  There are SOOO many people  on here and out there going through EXACTLY what you are right now.  Makes it a lot less lonely.  Remember -always keep it iin your mind that THIS feeling is just temporary.  By tomorrow or the next day you should really try some mild exercise.. it helps a LOT with the depression.  Take a walk around the block.  Go slow if you have to.. but it will help at the very least take your mind off how miserable you are.. tomorrow will come and you will be one day closer.

Hey there - day 2 is a hard day.. But the good news is you are on day 2!  Each day will get a little better. Within a few days you will be on the upswing.. Just be strong.  A lot of this is mental.  Remember, withdrawals will not kill you.  Addiction will.  No  matter how bad you feel, you will eventually feel better. Your boys need you.  You know that.
Stop the thoughts and all the desperation going on in your head.  Just take a deep breath (focus) and stpp the panic.  You are panicking right now. Think of how quickly the weekend just went by.  One more week - 7 days from now, you wil be clean and feeling alive again.  A few short days man. Be strong mentally.  And give your body time.
If you are really having suicidal thoughts than get to the hospital and talk to someone.  There are people who can help you through this..If you just need some support - we are here for you.  We cna all tell you that withdrawal suck*s BUT you can do it.  You have 2 days in already.  Good luck and god bless.
