Hi there, sorry to hear you are having a hard time with your detox, but I have to say that I agree with ViCourageos, alcohol just seems to make it worse. I have been off of methadone for 23 days now, and I was not feeling well, my heart was racing and so I tried having a glass of wine to calm it down but it only made it worse. If I were you I would try to refrain from it, your symptoms will lessen as time goes on. Good luck and please keep us posted. I know it is hard at first but before you know it you will be done and feeling much better. My sleep is not good at this time, but I know from listening to others on this forum that it will eventually go back to normal. Take care!
thank u very much for letting me know bout the drinking part.its so darn difficult to believe that time is the best healer.coz i feel that every sec is like a hundred years.of course im tryin to ride the waves as best as i can. without the alchohol now.
Hi..I have found out from my experience that drinking makes the healing process worse..Your body is trying to rid the poisons..You can start the addiction all over again by adding another substance to it..It is like playing with fire...That is why when we are addicts we have to stay away from any substance that alter the brain...Keep up the good work..Just try to ride the wave..It will get better in time..Time is the Greatest Healer...
