hydrocodone 6years

Hello all. I was surfing the internet and ran across this forum to find a lot of others are in my shoes. I have been fighting this beast for a very long time. It all started from a brain anarisym 6 years ago and I haven't felt normal since. I only needed the pills during that time of surgery and after found myself buying them off the streets much later to get that high. Today I took my last pill (hydro 10) this morning and I know what to look for by morning. I have tried a couple times before but the WD are too much.. I went as long as 30 days before but the cravings never seems to go away. Have anyone here quit cold turkey and was successful? Any encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

Hey,

I detoxed cold turkey off heroin 2 years ago.  It's not pretty, but it is soo worth it. If you have a close friend or 2 who know what your going through and are supportive, reach out.  You can't do this alone.  Kava helped my anxiety and relaxed me a bit.  Have some gatorade and make sure you stay hydrated.

You are about to begin the most amazing journey you will ever have.  It's not always going to be easy and your going to want to kick, scream and cry, but build up a support network. It's one day at a time. Sometimes for me it was 1 minutes at a time.  But the cravings DO go away. It gets easier, be gentle on yourself.

Good luck <3
