It's been a while now since you originally posted. Did you do the saline rinse or ointments/balms suggested? Have you been tapering off orally? How's it going?
Hey there have you looked up the thomas recipe? I would get everything except the benzo. Drink lots of water and get some Imodium also take hot baths with epsom salts to help the aches. Have you quit snorting them? Did you try the saline rinse? You can do this do you have any support?
obviously I am, im just asking for tips to help while I stop using!!!!!!
Knock-off the NOSE ABUSE and then figure out how your going to quit the habit. YOU CAN take the MEDICATION ORALLY and wean off them that way for a successful withdrawl. I suggest that route. Once you've got that tough decision done, you can focus on the Great Support in this site and information on best ways to cope with symptoms.
These people are wonderful.
This may sound funny but i use good ole fashion Bag Balm for my nose. This stuff cleared up a serious issue i had with my feet that doctors for years could not figure out. It might help.

yep. Stop snorting. This is a site for recovery. Are you looking to quit?
First and foremost...you have to stop snorting! That way you are not continuing the damage. Secondly, you need to do a saline rinse. Get a neti-pot or something similar and follow the instructions for that. You can get some petroleum jelly or another more natural product that has good essential oils in it and put that on the mucous membranes of your nose. Keep hydrated and you can drink warm drinks to soothe the throat. That's about all I can come up with right now. Best wishes to you!
Do not use regular nasal spray. It will irritate it more. Suck the natural cough drops, use a Q tip with Vaseline on it. I know right now it seems snorting is the only thing that helps, but you're ruining your lungs, not to mention your sinus cavity. It will heal, if you stop now.
Good luck!
