just called the dr's office, and i can't get in for a week.  he MIGHT call something in, but probably not.  Pray that he has mercy and calls something in, otherwise i'll have to go to after hours, and that is big bucks.

For me it was as easy as telling my doctor that I was having a lot of trouble sleeping.  He wrote me a prescription for Ativan (Lorazepam)...  30 day Rx, (1) 1mg pill right before going to bed.  I no longer take them because I've been sleeping good but I can tell you that those things knocked me right out!  Yes, it is a benzodiazapene and is addictive but certainly not if you're just taking one puny miligram before bed.  I couldn't tell you what the drug is like if taken in excess because I never did.  I typically don't like drugs that make me sleepy but this one saved me from a lot of sleepless agony!  It might be worth talking to your doctor.  They are pretty willing to help out.

Yeah it is classic w/d shakes and RLS.  You mind and bosy wont settle down and let you get some good relaxation.  Sooner or later your body will just crash from no sleep.  If I were you I would try asking your DR to help with this. They can give you Valium, xanax, kolnopin.  Yes these are addictive, but not if you are only going to use them for a very very short period of time just to help induce sleep.  Yuo need to find something to help you get some sleep.. For me it was a Klonopin and a muscle relaxer before I would take a Hot shower or bath until the Hot water runs out and you are pruning in there.. This combination relaxed me enough to get maybe 2-4 hours of sleep! YOU NEED TO GET SOME SLEEP, SO ASK YOUR DR!

I hear ya......the no sleep drove me NUTS!!!!  If you have a valium around - take it!  Sleep though the worst part otherwise you start to think you can't do it.  I'm still working through it all but, It's ok????  The no sleep & my mind racing was making me more nuts then anything.  I don't know what day your on but, I guessing from your post your within the 1st week......THAT WAS ME.   Relax/take a warm bath/listen to a calm cd & dont let your mind take over.  Keep me posted.......:-)
