kicking vicodin

Well, I'm on day 1 cold turkey but I cut down on taking vicodin for thr past 2 days. I've been to detox before for percocet I was taking about 30 pills a day of 10/325. For almost 3 years I was clean for 4 months and I tired to refill my vitamins on line and I saw I had a refill on my vicodin from before. I really don't know what made me refill them. After everything I went through. All the pain mental and physical. Being away from my kids while I was in detox. I'm so stupid. I'm in so much pain right now my legs hurt my arms hurt I have the runs and I'm alone. I don't want to disappoint my family so I had my sister pick up my kids and stay with them for today. She thinks I'm just not feeling good.  I made them go through to much to tell them I messed up again. I'm praying and hoping for the best for me in future. I just needed to let this out my chest thanks for your time.

Well, thanks you guys for writing back. I didn't explain myself to good the first time i was in to much pain but i'm feelin a lot better it's day 4 without any vicodin . On sep.29  I cut down to 7 vicodins a day From 15 a day. Started cold turkey on the 1st of oct. I've been through this before I know it takes time to get back to normal and I don't know if that urge in back of my mind is every going to go away but I know that I have to fight. If not for my self for my kids. I'm still feelin the stomach cramps on and off. Still haven't been able to eat but i've been takin vitamins and pedialyte and ensure. I know how important it is to keep your energy up. But I've never done it this way I've done detox once in the hospital with suboxine but I'm gonna be strong, Thanks IBKleen , FassFeat, And Dominosarah and to everyone else.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  We are glad you found this site.

So you are on day 1 of wd'g right?  Did you taper down for a couple days before hand?  Make sure you drink fluids like gatorade or water.  Soak in the bath as that will help the aches and pains.  Get up and move around as much as you can also.  That will help.  I would really recommend some aftercare.  Keep us posted as to how you are feeling.  sara

Welcome to the forum. I know it helped me to get it off my chest, I really felt better. Congrats on deciding to quit. You should look at the health pages on the top right hand corner of home page. There are alot of things that will help with WD symptoms. The Thomas recipe and the Amino Acid Protocol.  You will get alot of help and support here from people that have walked in your shoes, we all have in some way or another. Saturday nights are a little slow here, I wanted to welcome you. Best of Luck and God Bless. Andrew

Hi & Welcome,

So you know, Saturday night is always quiet here so be patient.

In the meantime, I was wondering what this meant: "I'm on day 1 cold turkey but I cut down on taking vicodin"....is what you stated. I was going to talk with you about the ct thing but then you cut down?, so I am lost.

Hope you come back on and talk with us.
