kratom hell

Been using kratom 3 times  a day for 2 weeks. To help me quit norco10 habit of 8 years. Im on day 29 of no norco but on day 1 of no kratom that i started taking for the first  time 2 weeks ago.  Well.. I have a severe reaction to it 3 days ago in which now i gag and vomit if i even get near kratom . So i am stopping. Now. ... im 22hours of no dosage and im severely depressed and very emotional. Does anyone havexa time line of kratom or have gone through this and knows how long this stage last? I've read kratom to some people can have worse wd than pain pills. Anyways... loosing my mind. :/

Oh boy, did you get lucky!  Worst decision ever. Not worth it one bit. I eas warned right before  i took my first batch. I was told i would be trading a hydrocodone addiction with a codein like addiction. I didn't really cared,  i read it helps and it's natural.  Well... 2 weeks later its literally killing me.  I stopped ,  my stomach cannot handle this.

HI  well as you can already tell Kratom comes with its own vices  we have had members b/4 do this with similar results  the bottom line is Kratom is addictive and using it the way you did got its fangs into you  everyone one is looking for a softer ezer way  but there is no ''get out of jail free card'' your just going to have to detox off this now keep posting for support  and please share with me the withdrawal symptoms and how long it takes you to detox off it so we can warn the next person who thinks this might be a way out...lots of luck   Gnarly

Hey gnarly. Yeah. . First week was heaven sent.  It got rid of my mental cloud of paws.but the second week,  nightmare. Just dizzy  and nauseated with flu like symptons.  Id compare this to opiate wd but without the body ache and diahrrea  . That's the only things i don't have. Everything else is here. .. rsl, insomnia , slight headache, chills, hot flashes, depression, lathargy, apathy, emotional. ..etc.

yeah... only cure is time now. Detox is painfully slow. And with no help of other otc meds or rx. Just eating right and drinking fluids. Unfortunately. .. Nausea  is the worst of the symptoms. All day ive been gagging at thoughts of kratom. Just the faintest thought triggers it. It will last for about 30 minutes then subsides slowly until a thought brings it up.  Did some googling... not much on timeliness of kratom abuse.juat people hoping through the same as I.i was hoping to get someone here who has been through this but nothing. So I'll be the front line for this one i guess. On a good note. .. 30 days no pills. And no urges.

Hi Living. I had about a six month stint with Kratom. It's nasty dirty stuff but my withdrawal wasn't as bad (certainly no worse) than withdrawals from heavy pill binges. Hang in there buddy. Give it a few days.

Yesidid, thxs. Amy kind words of encouragement  help. I was 8 years locked on norco10. Quit ct. Went through hell.2 weeks later i took kratom  to help with the depression  from paws. 2weeks later again i got very sick from kratom. Shaking, chills, sweats and massive headache with dark amber ****. So i stopped ct. 8 hours later i felt exacly like i felt from ct norco10. But only difference   was, add itchy all over and nauseated. So for me,  its worse thsn norco 10 withdrawals. Just want to sleep forever.

It's different for all of us my friend especially when we start messing around with unregulated crap like Kratom. I've had one or two moments in my life when I wondered "did I really destroy my brain permanently this time?" With time patience and prayers you will be fine. Giving you a little of the third right now. God Bless.

Livingsfree did you make it through Kratom withdrawal?  I'm looking for guidance and hope.  I've been taking kratom daily for 10 months and my tolerance got very high.  I've tapered down over the course of six weeks.  It's been horrible.  I'm taking roughly 3-4 grams now of plain leaf powder (1.5 tsp) divided into three doses.  I don't feel great but at least I'm not totally jumping out of my skin at this dose (though sleep is difficult).  I think I have another month until I can jump off. The extreme anxiety is too much to go much faster.  I thought I would be able to do this in a week or two.  I was so wrong.  Looking for hope and support.  I can't seem to find a more recent thread on this topic or one with many entries.

Hi, Movebeyond.....as far as I can tell, Livingsfree hasn't posted since March of 2015.  If you go to the link below and hit the green post a question tab....you can start  your own thread and get more help and responses from current forum members.  I don't have any experience with Kratom, but there are those that do that might just come along and share with you.  Hope to see you there:

The problem with kratom is you don't know what you're getting...doctors don't know squat about it.

Could you get yourself into a detox center?   I hate to think of you putting this crap into your body for another month.

There are other sites that have more stories about kratom and getting off it.  You can google it, but I'm pretty sure bluelight has a bunch of threads about this drug.  Stay away from Erowid...just my opinion.

Hang in there honey...keep yourself hydrated, exercise if you can...even just light walking will help.  Take hot baths and try to keep your mind occupied.  Anxiety won't kill you, although it feels like it can.

Hugs,
-Robin
