methadode detox

I have been tapering my dose of 129mg. of methadone down to 28 mg. but am beginning to feel effects on withdraws now and I don't have alot of money. Are there some vitamins that don not cost an arm and a leg I can take to help with these w/d's?

if you can swing it the 15 bucks for the whey proten is a good building block to getting yourself well its got amino acidsin it as well as extra vitamins along with raw protein all of witch the brain needs to heal this is not a quick fix but rather one way you can speed things up......Gnarly

HI get up to walmart and for 6 bucks pick up a 3 in one vitamin calcium/magnesium/zinc take 4 with breakfast 4 with dinner in a few days you will notice your withdrawals will be cut down considerably if you need more help tapering just ask it is harder to go from 28 to 1 then from 125 to 28 you just have to take your time take the vitimins and your withdrawals should be manageable if you have questions ask I willl be hapy to help you......Gnarly

Hi and Welcome...

I don't have experience with methadone but I know it can be trying in all senses of the word.  Gnarly is our resident methadone expert and can give you good advice.  I can tell you about Vitamins that help with detox-you say money is an issue so I would go to Walmart and get a good Multi-vitamin and a big bottle of Whey protein which you can mix with milk, water (and I add a banana for RLS) It helps your brain and body to heal faster.  Have you been doing this taper with medical support?  I am not sure about dosage with meth so hopefully someone will come along soon and give you better advice.  Good for you for wanting to take your life back...I know how hard it is.  Sending support....Lu
