methadone and paxil

I take 90mg of methadone for about 8 months and im feeling very depressed i have all the symptoms of severe depression is ok to mix those 2 drugs. I'm only 26 by the way with two kids.

Hi and welcome to the forum....well I was on methadone for 6 1//2yrs and also have bipolar disorder so taking antidepressants was a fact of life for me...I had good luck with celexa will taking methadone...very little side effects mixing the 2 together but all antidepressant are not the same...I agree with mr lucky on asking your dr he/she
should at least know your on the methadone...theres not alot of dr that are up to speed with drug interactions with methadone though so you might have to do the research
yourself...you could try googling it and just weed thew the info you find..good luck

Are you getting this from a doctor? That's who you should ask. I have known many people on methadone who took paxil and similar antidepressants. Some people get more depressed on methadone.
