Wow!!!! The anxiety sure has set in

For some reason my anxiety levels have set in BIG TIME today!!!  I had really bad nightmares last night and was up on 2 different occasions last night. I'm a SAHM of a 1st grader and my hubby goes to work each day.  I don't know if its bc I am home alone, or what's going on  -  this feels HORRIBLE!!!!!

Happy Birthday and congrats on the big 10 days!!! You're doing great and you should start to see a difference in your energy levels soon! Are you doing any exercising? At least take a stroll around the block. I'm so proud of you! Our team has made it through and we're all half way to the big 30 days :)! That's going to be one BIG celebratory post when that day comes! Pom poms will be on!

Thanks guys!  It's still pretty bad today but I'm on day 10 and it's my birthday. I just don't have the energy to want to do ANYTHING but sit!

OMg I remember the nightmares on the last attempt I had. Holy ****! So valerian root works?
I've been freaked about that. Haven't had them just yet. I would start like hallucinating half awake half asleep oh man. I would defiantly take their advice and run with that's what I'm about to do.
Good luck! Sounds like you're doing awesome!! Those dreams an anxiety get better. I'm only on Day 2 well over 48hours since last dose but my anxiety is heightened as well. We really should what everyone is talking about I feel everyone on here has great advice and knows what they are talkin bout

Oh the anxiety. I came off of 3 drugs and never ever felt anxiety like this before..Even with the other opiates. Mine was on the Moon for a long ash time. You got some great advise up above from my MH friends but I would like to add how Magnz, Calcium helps a bunch..There is this Powder you can pick up at the Hearth store called "Calm" and it has magnz and other things that will really help. Sometimes we just have to ride it out because it is all part of the process. It will go down and you will start to feel much better. If you hit a weak state do not worry it is part of the detox as well. Just look forward and Hang Tight..I wish you the best.

Great point Annie made, I wasn't taking any other meds. and don't know what you may be taking. Definitely be careful with herbs, they are natural forms of pharmaceutical meds. Thanks Evolver.

Boy, those disphoric nightmares sound familiar. If it's any consolation they  do abate. (@ least they did for me.)

All the advice that Weaver gave you is excellent. I would add that if you don't have access to a pool, walking at a good clip also alleviates stress as does do hot salt baths (followed by, if possible, massage & reflexology!) I also found that listening to meditation/progressive relaxation videos through earbuds on YT really helped. They also have hours of ocean sounds, rainstorms, etc. which are pretty relaxing.

St. John's Wort can be really effective but before you take it, please, check with your Dr. b/c it's contra-indicated with quite a few meds. I found that passionflower works pretty well & is not as toxic to the liver as Valerian root (I also found it more effective.)

I found St. John's Wart helped me most. I was pleasantly surprised, it never helped before, but in detox it was better than valerian or Valium, which I tried once, my doctor suggested it. Swimming was a life saver too. Just treading water exhausted me, but I would feel less anxious. Just remember, it will pass. Anxiety, sleep, and energy where all the worst for me. Exercise was the best for all those. I mean I walked around the block, having to sit down several times, but it paid off. Sometimes I would wave my limbs around in the water, that was all I could do, but it really helped. Also, dreams effected me a lot. I hadn't really drempt in years, and they had a huge effect on my mood. I thought of it as my brains last desperate attempt to get what it wanted. It seems like you are having normal symptoms, keep pushing forward.

You are doing AMAZING my friend... Anxiety and a whole myriad of feelings are COMPLETELY NORMAL. Music helped me ALOT. It kept me from overwhelming cravings and anxiety one song at a time. Keep your mind busy. Also change up your routine a little bit. I know for me that everything was way worse when I was doing everything the same as when I was using. Have your child tell u a story or read u a book. Anything that keeps ya sane as well as clean. YOU can TOTALLY do IT!

I was going to say hot baths too, and maybe a few short walks or some type of exercise to help tire you out (I know that's probably the last thing you feel like doing!)  Try to distract yourself with a good book, or go get (or get someone to give you, a massage). I got a massage when I was on day like, 3. I was such a mess. I fell asleep on the table. I was so embarrassed...but that night, I remember I felt calm and my legs didn't hurt as much!

Oh no! Have you tried Valerian root (I may have spelled that wrong) :)?
It worked really well for me when I was experiencing the anxiety. Also, taking hot epsom salt baths helped! I hope that you're getting to feeling better soon!
