Are you taking methadone? How much per day and per dose?
First you need to calm down and relax......this stuff isnt a fast or easy fix. Might help if there was a little more information. How many of what strength are you doing? Almost a year.....sounds to me like you are starting withdrawls when your mind races. Its actually a classic panic attack and is quite common when quiting a narc. Check out the health discussions at right side of page. Look up the Thomas recipe and Amino Acid Protocols...and read them. Then think about using them. There is plenty of good advice on this forum from people that are either doing what you want to do or have done it. Wont sugar coat it though. Methadone is a long hard one to quit. Hopefully you dont have the historical time or the amount of use to make it hard on you. You shouldnt have been able to mess up your liver or kidneys in less than a year....Read through the archives and become as informed as possible about what you want to do - knowledge is power on this one. Keep posting and you will have answers............
i couldnt exactly tell if it was methadone youare on for pain or other painkillers, but assuming its methadone you are on for pain its definitely going to be hard to get off of, it is a very effective pain killer and long alsting, and prduces less of a rush or euphoria than heroin and toehr strong opiates, but it is very addicting and can be lethal.- i am on it for a bad addiction to heroin and oxycontin(snorted) and its a great treatment option for me, but its def. addicting too.and its easy to overdose because it builds up in youre body and you dont realise you have so much inyoure system when you take more and you end up dying of respiratory dpression(especially when mixed with benzoslike valium or xanax or alcohol). since its been a year slowly taper youre dosage down and you should only feel minor discomfort..best of luck-christos
