its dangerous there are many deaths related to rapid detox.
we dont condone it here.
i was told the risks are just associated with the anisthesia as with any surgery. but pretty low.
and yes that was a concern. but plastic surgery was described as more dangerous. no incisions just medication injection
Tom, why must you specify which doctor you went to? It just looks like your trying to foist Dr Yees magic treatment again. If people want specifics, they can PM you. Your posts come across like infomercials where some stooge shamelessly endorses product X by beguiling the veiwer with an unprovable and unsubstantiated testimonial.
people who think this is a scam then why does med help advertise his website on the top of thier page? lasvegasrapiddetox.com
I am trying to get word of this out. if its the Dr name Il gladly take it out. I strongly believe in this working
wow I didnt expect this much. only one person happy and believed me. Check out my username. ive been on here for years. im going to say this. I found something that helped me tremendously with a problem that has ruined my life. special thanks to all the non believers. but this is the only thing that has gotten me this far feelin this well. ive gone to all my pharmacys in the area and spoken to them and told them not to prescribe me anything opiods. im closing doors i cant reopen. trying not to set myself up for failure. ive contacted every prescriber and notified them. im taking this to the extreme
hellc@mst why so negative about a good thing. I mention him because he is the only dr that does this procedure. its different and taylored. You dont have to believe but it has worked wonderfull for me. and hopefully for many others
Hi I,m really glad to hear that your regime has worked well for you and reckon its with a good heart that you are sharing this in the hope that it may be a shining light for others....
I,ve read a few tragic stories about rapid detox....i,d like to clarify a few points....is this the detox where you are given a general anaesthetic, loaded up with loads of opiate antagonists and after a few days you are 'hopefully' through the worst of the wds....If so there have been fatalities with this method....one of the top one is 'aspiration of gastric contents' during the wd process....ie vomiting and then choking on it....Its got a lot of risks....If i was being put under for several days the only place i would want to be is intensive care unit....not a clinic...no way
I had a heavy opiate habit that i,m in wd from just now...In your post you mention detox options as either cold turkey, a switch to meth or sub or in patient detox.....at this exact moment in time i,m doing a home detox supported by medication prescribed by my primary care physician....There are other options outwith your suggestions.....I hope i dont sound mean....i absolutely do not intend to.....I congratulate your success and determination to turn your life around....i just wanted to point out that i,m doing a home detox with medical support as this was what i felt suited me best......the very best of luck take care
thanks for the reply this procedure is contraversal. yes i knew the risks ahead of time and did my research. yes there are personal physicians that have thier own ways of dealing with substance abuse. the current accepted medication assisted taper is suboxone or methadone. i tried subs and failed. cold turkey and failed. do you mind sharing the other medication therepy you currently trying? I hope it is working well for you. I just knew I needed help fast. this was explained to me how it worked. it makes sense. and it seems to have really worked well. no withdrawl and really no cravings. i personally needed the vivatrol injection just to remind me it wont be worth using. yes it was heavy sedation, I was intubated and kept under with gas. i had a ng tube and gi track cleaned day before
Missy I was in the medical field before my life fell apart. I knew enough to research this place and to find out all i could before i let someone put my under for 8-9 hours. I was around Pt 400 they say they have a zero percent incident rate. and it was at an actual or not a dr office. I was really impressed
Tom....just curious.......what is going to happen if you need narcotics for pain control while on the vivitrol?? I am certainly not questioning your choice to detox by this method after all it is a personal choice .....but what happens if you get hit by a bus??? How hard is it gonna' be to obtain any relief if narcotics are to be needed???
Hiya...thats a lot of intensive management you,ve had and i,m delighted you're out the other side :)
I,m taking a dopamine agonist called pramipexole, a sympatholitic (acts on 'flight or fight roughly speaking) drug called Clonidine, the benzo diazepam, an opioid receptor agonist called loperamide and ibuprofen...
Its very early days for me....but even now i,d be climbing the walls without any imput.....done ct too many times with no imput and as you know its torture....
Just now the main symptom is insomnia, but my legs are still, my mind is calm and focussed and although i feel like my body weights a ton its not causing little more than mild discomfort.....i know its unlikely to stay as calm as this but its the best begining to a wd i,d ever experienced
We have to get there.....we have come this far.....good on you for what you,ve achieved....your drive is inspirational to me tonight :)
very good question. I have to wear an id alert that says im on extended release naltrexone and pain management would have to be managed by nerve blocks or full sedation of non opiod drugs
I got propofol before instead of opiates....worked well for me....fingers crossed you.ll not need to worry about that tho :)
and you have taken the right steps also. just a different approach. we will get there. ive seemed to hit a nerve with some people on this subject. oh well. I was there. I was treated very professionally and I am amazed at after 8 hours of sedation I still have not had one physical withdrawl. now mentally Im emotional. I have a lot of work to do there. im doing IOP for 9 weeks. sounds like you have a good shot at getting well again soon. remember each min each hour and each day of withdrawl pain that goes by you will never have to repeat it again. you can do it.
Thanks for sharing your story and Congratulations on your recovery. I'm very glad to hear you were able to get clean with no WD and that you feel great. I was wondering does this procedure work for benzos like Xanax as well ? Also what is the cost of this procedure ???
yes good old prop and versed to knock me under i was intubated so my airway was protected from asperation and kept sedated with gas from what i was told
No its just for opiods. it does nothing for the benzos if you want to messase me il give u the phone number and the website 12,000.00
I,d read about clinics doing what almost sounded like clinic based rapid detox and i was horrified. However your account is at the other end of that and thats how it should be. Addicts get the rough end of the stick....not enough research, often little option and that is dependent on the knowledge and attitude of the professional that we are dealing with. I agree we all find our own path, the one thing we all agree on is joining together and supporting ourselves and other addicts to break free and stay clean....
Good luck :)
yes I was positive this was in an actual OR. I confirmed it. maybe some of the bad raps come from some of them that were preformed in a dr office. that is scary. and I spoke directly to the dr. and checked his credentials and for and scam reports. he is the real deal. I was treated like a king for 3 days that i was there. but your right. addicts usually are not a high priority. this dr is passionate about this. his success rates are very high after a year. good luck to you i know its hard. its the hardest thing ive ever had to deal with. my diseaseis always with me. but im learning how to deal with that. someone told me that it never gets better. but I get better with it
12,000.00?? Really?? Nothing like taking advantage of an addict. My wd cost me around 15.00. I got some Ester C,B-6 and B-12. Many of us barely had 12 cents to our name when we stopped.
i realize that. I dont know much about you. for example your daily useage drug of choice, route of admin ect. but I do know that everyone is different. and everyone has their reasons to stop using. im very happy and proud of you for stopping however you do it isnt easy. My situation was that ive lost everything and everyones trust in me. and legal trouble. i decided to take the most agressive step to get this control. every other way i tried i failed over and over. id do good for a ly wowhile and then woops its back in my life. part of my problem is i have money while some say that is good its a bad thing for an addict with a 300 to 500 per day habbit . i have so much guilt and shame over how much money i swallowed in pills just to feel normal for the past year. 12000 dollars is a lot but if i didnt do something drastic i would have spent that very quickly. there is an science to opiod addiction what would i have turned to to feed my habbit? steeling? heroin? it doesnt get better only worse i looked closely at what this program offered and it wasnt only about the withdrawl the vivatrol injection was something i never wanted to have. it stays in your system and can not be removed its there when you fall and blocks the effects of the opiates. so i know its there always to keep me on track. this was the most effective/invasive therepy available and that is what i need to stay clean. many people have researched this procedure and dont agree because of the risks of death. the dr i used has no incidents from 400 patients it was preformed by a board certified anithesiasists in an actual or not a clinic im very happy you were able to do it for cheaper on ur own. my disease holds my life in its hands my next step was death in my opinion i believe I made the right choice and i cand believe how good i feel physicially now emotionally i catch myself depressed a bit and i need counciling which im taking now im trying to do everything possible to close the doors so they cant be reopened. ive gone to every pharmacy and told them about my issue and had them put it on file no more meds also stopedby dr offices and clinics any one that could possible give me pain meds im trying to be positive about this I think im doing the right thing an suggestions would be appreciated thanks tom
