Didn't make my W/D goal :( PRAYERS please!!
Well, for anyone who read my post yesterday, I an weening down from my fioricet. I have been making it 12 hours at night, and yesterday, tried for only 2 tabs for the day. I did make it 10 hours but took my pill at 6pm....big mistake, I was relaxed watching tv, got up. went to bed, and had a major anxiety attack. Gave in after 1/2 hour, and took pill #3.
Had a ROUGH night of sleep..vivid nightmares woke me about 3 and I fought and sweated, and tossed around, finaly got up and took 2 Advil, went back, tossed for another hour before taing 1/2 of a .025 mg tablet of Xanex..which promptly tossed me back int a very deep sleep.
Its now 8 am, and I am hanging on to the though of tring 1/2 tablets today, at 6 hour intervals, to see if this is a better plan to get me down safely to 2 pills. I think I may just be making the situation worse by trying for these 12 hour stints of no Fioricet.
Thanks to all who posted back yesterday, and I am not taking Fioricet with Codiene, so does that make this any safer for me? Also, I was really wanting to see if anyone knew how long I will continue to feel symptoms ( even if they are mild and very managable during the day..I am LOST at night! ). And did anyone else feel like they just didn't want to GO to bed because you knew you would be in for a long painful night?

no...the fiorcet has a barbituate in it that makes it neceesary o taper from high doses..urs is not too terribly high at 3 pills per day,it is fine to ct from codeine...but it is good u do not have anarcotic addiction to boot..hang tight...perhaps hand over ur pills...very soon it would be safe to jump off and be done..have u talked to ur doctor about tapering etc?
ohhh i can related. i hated to go to bed, i knew it would not bring sleep. you will feel some w/ds as long as you are on a taper plan....then once you take the final pill you should have some w/ds for a week and then it gets better...you can do this...try taking the half every 6 hours...it maybe easier...it gets better if you stick with it....
