Day 6 of no oxy

I'm on day 6 of no opiates...longest I've gone in about 3 yrs. I went through a couple of withdrawals prior to this but didn't last past the 2nd or 3rd day. All of my physical symptoms are gone but I literally have zero energy. Any idea when that might return?

You're right, Jinx. I thought  I'd  be fine once I made it through the physical stages of withdrawal but I'm having a very tough time with the zero energy and my boyfriend is wondering about my zero sex drive. I essentially went through this alone; my bf thought I got clean months ago (which I did for a few days) but then I started sneaking behind his back. Need to find a local meeting.

YES change your number. don't give it to anyone who will give it to a dealer.
soon they will offer you 'great deals' or even free to get their income back

Day 9, back to a full day of work today. Brutally tired. I deleted all of my dealers numbers (all of two people) but one I know by heart and he texted me last night that he'd have plenty of stuff this week. I'm so tempted bc of the no energy but I know Ive come too far. Should I change my number?

Thanks, Bama. I'm not worried about the xanax...I've always had a script for it and never abused it. Was helpful back in the day when I use to get panic attacks and it's been a godsend this week. I've already cut my doze in half and no longer taking any during the day. Furniture shopping was tough. My back has been screaming all day despite the extra strength Tylenol. Got a 20 min massage that seemed to help. May try some acupuncture throws week.

Slow and steady ....it's terrific that you were able to go to the movies....I'm so proud of you...and your going furniture shopping...

Good to hear that you got some sleep.  Try not to use the Xanax that long.  You don't want to drop one drug just to pick up another...

Take good care of yourself by eating right.  We need the fuel foods give us for energy.
One day at a time.....good post

Thanks everyone! Day 8 today. Slept for nine hours last night (with the help of xanax and Tylenol pm) but I'm not complaining! Today is the best I've felt. I got out Friday night and went to the movies. My boyfriend and I are planning on going furniture shopping today...one day at a time right? The cravings were very bad all week but they seem to have disappeared a little.

WTG!  I'm so happy that you made it through....if you have a doc you could ask him about getting Vit. B-12 injections....if not go to Walmart and pick up B-12 sublingual.  It is the only thing that has been helping me with the energy problem.

hey M, great that you are doing this!  it usually took me at least 30 days to notice any return of energy.  exercise helped tremendously, even a brief walk.  keep going

I DITTO THE ABOVE!!
Congrats on your time so far..Just give it time and make sure you are Eating very Healthy and taking some good vit/min..Vit/Min do take time to kick in. Also make sure you get out in the Sun and try to do some kind of Exercise. Plus Music. This all gets the Happy Chems/Hormones in the Brain going that we have knocked down a bit during our drug use.
Happy Trails will soon be here for you!

Hi, well done making it to day 6 !!!
You need to give yourself some months to see improvements energy wise.
Some people get their energy back around 3-6 months clean, some earlier and some later.
But your clean today, and thats more important than anything !!
Good job : )
