nerves/anxiety during w/d

I have read the thomas recipe and have seen other posts with remedies, but I can't seem to recall too much for the treatment of the horrible anxiety and nervousness that comes with ct w/d.  I am very afraid of this.  Is there an herbal supplement for this?  Most likely I will just have to overcome, but that almost literally drives me insane.  I do not want to have to take xanax or anything like that.

I agree with Vicki, that's the hardest part of wd I suffer from.  It drives me pretty close to insanity myself.  But I agree with Vicki, see a doctor asap.  If it's not an option for you at this time.  Keep busy!  Seeing a a dr is just not an option for me right now, I have no job and no health ins.  So, I try to keep as busy as possible, bc if I sit idle too long, I get very nervous/anxious and also depressed.  Keep busy and remember "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger".  Believe it or not, this experience will shape you into a better person.  Good luck to you.

Hi~  I did respond to your earlier post;just so you know...
Many folks get in touch with their doctor about withdrawing from a drug. They are prescribed meds that help greatly with nervousness and anxiety. Valium and Neurontin are two that are used short term.  In the Thomas Recipe, the B vitamins and amino acids also help. Sometimes there's an underlying depression that needs treatment. Everyone is different.   It may not be as bad as you're thinking.  My best advice for you is to get an appt. with an adiction specialist in your area. In the meantime, please try to calm down.
