neurontin what is it?

Reason I am asking is because my father takes neurontin and i was wondering if he had a health problem i didn;t know about. What is it used for etc?

Neurotin is Gabapentin and it can be used for nerve pain and is also prescribed for mild RLS.

Its generally an anticonvulsant used for siezures and such. Also used off label for diabetic neuropathy and body pain.......An MD that I respect a great deal kind of summed it up for me......he said that nuerontin was a nifty little medication looking for an affliction to cure!!  Maybe ask Dad why he is taking it.  I take it for chronic pain myself and frequently ask myself why I am taking it........

It can be used for many diffrent things your best bet is calling the pharasist in the am I think they can really explain it to you
