My freind just took 1 quarter ounce of coke at once as the police were raiding bar he was in. will this kill him and what will the signs be?

he will not be arrested for using if he goes to the ED -- he will be treated. and he should be. absolutely, esp if he is having chest pains. this can absolutely kill him.

also, with coke in general, fatal reactions have nothing to do with tolerance -- using coke can kill you anytime, just with the next line. there's no predicting it. any next use can cause a fatal arythmia.

but he should absolutely be seen if he took that much. it's like the mules that have condoms-ful explode in their gut -- dead, dead, dead.

I used to work in the medical examiner's office in nyc and I've seen a lot of dead coke users -- some dead for only 5 minutes, and some dead for weeks. not too pretty, either way.

again take him to the ER ......I am going to be blunt ask him is the fear of getting arrested worth dieing for .

Listen to gizzy.....My ex husbands friend od'd on less then that...Tell him it is either die, or get arrested?  Let him choose....

yes chest pains are bad, he needs to go to the er. the thing with that much coke is he will still keep getting those drips long after so he will keep getting high. im serious, he needs to go to er. they can help him, but heart attacks are possible after just a few lines, let alone that much. ive overdosed on this ****, chest pains are bad, ER ER

Ok this information is coming from him. As I piece it together he stuck his nose in the bag containing a quarter ounce of coke and tried to sniff it all up. I don't know how much he got up there but for him to call me means it must be a lot cos I don't like him much
but it happened 2 hours ago approximately and he's still alive, although was complaining of chest pains. doesn't want to go to hospital because i'm gathering there was trouble at the pub and he thinks he'll get arrested. Would he still be standing if he'd got that much in him 2 hours ago? I've seen the police cars at the pub so I know its not complete paranoid delusion but i'm thinking if it was gonna kill him it would have done it by now? But then again I dont know. Let me know what you think
