hi.. im 17 years old.. a female
ive been on oxy conten for about a year now and just cant stop.. im going through withdrawl right as we speak, its very hard for me knowing that i wont sleep tonight and have to function through my day of work tomorrow. I''ve never been prescribed oxy and have only ever taken it recreationally off of a friend.. worst mistake of my life.. i know this isnt going to end.. why kid myself and fill my head with the notation that i will come off of it when i know i wont... where i live they dont help people like me ... they dont offer a tapering program nor a methodone program, the lucky few are able to recieve it..
but i must be off now to lie awake in my bed for approximatly 8-9 before i dose off... see you all later

Please, look into some sort of 12 step program. Get some therapy. Find a way to stay clean and ween down off that methadone as soon as possible. There seems to be two drugs that routinely bring about the worst withdrawal symptoms. Methadone and Fentanyl (with an obvious nod to heroin and methamphetamines of course). Take this time you have to find a way to further your recovery. God bless dear.

im on 60 mg.. oh i know its not all good news methadone and i know once i want to come off its horrible. I just feel like im not out looking for drugs, spending all my money, no withdrawl anymore and im not doing drugs anymore.

Kim, oxys take lives! I want to share something with you... On the morning of july 19th after a night of parting , I woke up at 5:00 am or somewhere around there covered in fluid, fluid from my boyfriend , he had passed away right next to me in bed. I wish that there was omething that i could have done but he was gone, I screamed for him to stop playing but , he wasnt playing this was forreal!He died from a drug overdose from oxy! About 2 weeks after the funeral i found out that we had conceived a baby! We must have made the baby the day before he died! Now my daughter who is 4 doesnt know her dad! She will NEVER see him or get to hug him or ANYTHING! Weve have all been there kim and done that, parting is fun, but dont screw with pill!! Never!! Pills take more lives than any other drug!! Now when my daughter ask what do I tell her? Daddy died from an od? Thats not something that you want to tell your child, just from a bad mistake that he made it took his life!! I''ll never forget the screams I heard from his mother when the police told her! Kim, it only takes one time to overdose and please dont ever thik that it woont happen to you, because it CAN happen to you! Please dont let something like this have to happen in your family before you wake up! Dont ever try methadone for withdrawls either, just quit!! try Melatonin at night you can take 2   3mg at night, believe me these will help you sleep better and you can get them right at wallgreens or at walmart, good luckk kim!!

Hang in there girl.  This is the best decision you will ever make.  I know it ***** but the worst thing you could ever do is pick up another pill and take it.  It may make the w/d go away, but you're already getting rid of it, so why go through it again.  you can do it.  Get the vitamins and minerals suggested in the thomas recipe and amino acid protocol they will help with the w/d.  Stay away from your friend with access, it will only lead you back to the pills and the devastation.  Keep posting here for moral support

get some tylenol pm and take 1 or 2  it will take away a lil edge and relax you a bit. dont try takin more than 2 it will not help not more than 2, trust me your gonna be fine soon

I know it feels hopeless now but trust us, you can beat this. You already made the first step by admitting you have a problem and you are seeking help. I had an oxycodone addiction for 3 years and I've been clean for 36 days. At first it seemed the withdrawal would never go away but it does and you will eventually feel like your self again.

Nothing ends unless we end it. time to check ya head, n decide who ya wanna be for the rest a ur life. addiction has only two ends, recovery or death. so do the w/d's now, kick that **** outta ya life, you are young, time to see wut life is like witout the haze of oxy hangin ova ya. don be like alot of us on here and be 40-50 with a major addiction, and a buncha dirty lil secrets. you can do this, i mean ya are female, so be stubborn and kick those oxy's ***. good luck and keep posting......

What stage of w/d are you in?  The worst part will last 3-5 days and it gets better from then on.  Take a hot bath and it will make you feel better.  Drink lots of fluids and If you can lay low for a few days it would be much easer.  Hang in there and fight hard to be done with all of this.
