pain going off methadone

Hi everyone, as I have been tapering my methadone, my original jawbone pain is starting to come back. Do you think this is rebound pain? I hope so but it is getting bad to where I need to take something to relieve it. Tylenol doesn't work, neither does Lyrica.......

You came down off of methadone??? would you mind telling me what mg you came off of? i quit next tuesday off 10mgs of methadone......any good advice????

Basically when your coming off methadone everything and anything that can go wrong will!! Its all a waiting game now that pain will go away it just takes time! It took me 6 months to feel normal again . But im happy to day i have been clean for a year in ahalf an it feels great!

Well, it's hard to say. It could be rebound pain but where you've already had issues there, it could be that. The only thing you can do, I think, is to wait it out and see what evolves. In the meantime, try some Motrin for the inflammation...

No this is not from TMJ, I had osteonecrosis in my jawbone, had 3 surgeries and haven't had any pain since I was on the methadone but now that I am down to 18mgs the pain is starting to come through, my sister tells me it is rebound pain???

Is this from TMJ? Have you tried Motrin 800mg?
