withdrawl question

coming off vicodan have been on them for 4 years 7.5/750  tappered down to one a day then a 1/2 for the last week now 0 today. pretty fearful but willing to do the work to suceed getting off them...how long will withdrawl last?

Hi, and thanks for joining. You are a very strong willed person already.  I would never had been abled to taper. Knowing if I had pills available, I would just keep taking them until gone. Since you did taper, the withdrawls might be easier, but none the less, it will still not be fun.  Reading the posts seem to provide alot of good ideas and inspiration, which helped me the most. Remember one minute at a time. Life is not a race-but indeed a journey. Best of Luck!!

Hi--It may last about a week but I can't speak to the intensity. Force fluids,eat well,and get some exercise. I think the worst withdrawal symptom will be the insomnia and lack of energy.
