i can not stop buying and taking pain pills since my back injury am i addicted

i take them for pain and what they give me just stops me from getting sick so i take stronger stuff tha takes the pain away

Are you taking them as prescribed? Are you taking them for pain or for feeling good? Do you run out early? Do you crush, chew or snort them? Do you take more than 1 at a time? These are good signs of being addicted as opposed to being dependent on them.
