you can not go cold turkey from tramadol. you can have seizures. tramadol has to be tapered. it is best to get a taper schedule from your prescribing doctor. we cant offer taper plans.

I think by gradually lowering the dose, but you should talk with psychiatrst.More physical and social activity could help! Wish you luck!

Hi Connie can you give us a little more info please? How long have you been on them? How many and what dose do you take? are they from a doctor? You have a few choices... 1. Cold turkey you can stop it all and never look back but again it would help us to know what extent you have been using them. 2. Taper off of them. This works for some pople if you are strong enough to do so. Me I am not that strong if I had my DOC I would take them all and could never taper. 3. Detox if you can afford an inpatient treatment or if your insurance covers it. Whatever you decide to do please let us know and keep us posted. Look up the Thomas Recipe on here as it is a life saver for the first few days. Again please let us know a little more information, The more we know the better we can help you. There are a few people on here who came off Tramadol and they know what you will be going through. My DOC was Vicodin so its a little bit different. Best of luck to you dear.
