Do I really have to not take any hydrocodone for 24 hours before I begin taking suboxone?

I have an appointment with a doctor and the person on the phone told me about the 24 hours.  I don't know how much I'm starting on............just a little nervous because it's been years since I've gone longer than 8 hours without taking anything.  That's minor though, really I feel stupid even worrying about that, I need to just be glad that I finally got an appointment and can be done with the Norco.

Yes. At least 24 hours. You should be feeling withdrawal when you take the suboxone
otherwise you'll feel ill.
Are you being induced by a doctor or are you doing this on your own? How much sub are you starting with?
