I agree with iwilldothis, if you really want to be off pills you just have to endure it, there's no easy way out.  You have to want to be sober more than you want to be high.  The only way out is through it!  It will get better, you just have to give it time.

I just posted this to another  member - I'm cutting and pasting for you - you might also go look for header of "tried CT" where myself and another member just posted our WD suggestions -

I have heard getting off sub can be its own nightmare - I detoxted at home also off hydrocodone and it isn't any fun.  I didn't manage my diarrhea initially and that was a bad move - were you taking immodium?  If not that is key - taking it aggressively everytime you hit the toilet to get it stopped, I wouldn't have made it through without it.  You can take a pill or the liquid if you can't keep a pill down.

Lots of us choose out of personal preference or because we have no other choice to detox at home.  It isn't fun but it can be done.  You really have to want to be off pills more than you want them and realize you are going to feel like death for 3-5 days and then worn out for another week.  I just kept telling myself I had the worst flu ever and just had to endure it.  I showered lots n lots for the cold sweats/creepies, drank lots of gatorade and ate food as I could.  Benedryl or nyquil can help you get some sleep through these difficult days.  Some people also like the Thomas Recipe or Amino Acid Protcol (scroll either up or down on right hand side to "Most Viewed Health Pages" to see both of those links.  Rather than the amino acid protocol which can be costly you could just do a good protein powder in a shake which will give you a lot of what you need.

And time, it just takes time to get through withdrawal.  Some people cold turkey, some taper it is your own personal preference and what you can and can't do.  Some say there is no way they could taper, if they had pills they ate pills.  I wish you luck and just know it CAN be done.  Hang in there.
