Others may have already posted this, but the ONE thing that relieved my RLS was/is a 3in1 supplement - Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc. 4 in the morning with breakfast, 4 in the evening with dinner. Gnarly recommends it for methadone WDs, but I found it to be excellent for good old RLS, which is what was keeping me up at night. I don't sleep like a baby, but I don't have
RLS anymore, which is nice.
Try the things listed above and as soon as you get out of the hot epsom salt bath, wrap your legs from knee to ankle, snug but not to tight with ace bandages and get in bed....if you do happen to get any sleep, that seems to help with the flailing legs............maybe
Hylands restless leg you can get it OTC at any drug store. Also if you can go see your doctor and tell him your situation you could get clonodine which is a blood pressure medicine but works wonders for wd and helps a Ton with RLS and cold chills and sleep.keep up the good work your on the home stretch now.
Not yet but will tonight. Ty. Ty ty
Yes epsom salts I forgot about those! I even used them in the shower as a scrub and they also helped a lot.
I've tried the valerian root, but it hasn't done anything to help me. But i've heard a lot of people say it's helped them. Have you tried a hot bath with epsom salt before bed? That seems to help me the most......Teri :)
K, thanks, ill try anything at this point. Think I agree with u on the pm stuff. Want2better, r u saying the valerian made u nuts?
I'd stop the Tylenol PM - all of those PM products make me super jittery and gave me really bad RLS. :)
last time i did it by that time rls were making me nuts.... got to a supplement store and get calc/magnesium liquid supplement and take a nice shot of that an hour before bed... i found it to help quite a bit, i also take melatonin at night.... seems to help
