Cigarettes never taste as good without a drug or a drink of alcohol so it's probably a good time to start thinking about it. But quitting cigs might be just too stressful at the same time as quitting pills, so I would think about it as the next ggreat thing to do for yourself, after the first great thing, getting off the pills.

I quit the pills then 60 days later I quit smoking so far so good. It is over 300days of no hydro and around 225 day of not smoking. For some reason it was really easy for me this time. I took what I learned about w/d's and applied it the smokes. Whyquit also helped me a lot. Not the storise the other side joels nots. Good stuff.

ditto to the last two posts.  I do it now for something to do...but really can't stand the taste or any other of the side effects.  I honestly think the only reason I smoked the last 3 years was cause of the pills.

that is the next vice to go...and with it...I will be FREE

I took my last Oxy on Jan.24, 09  and quit smoking on May 15, 09.  To be perfectly honest, I tried very hard to keep smoking because I felt it was my last vise and I wanted to keep it.  However, as luck would have it, as those months drug on and on, I noticed that the smokes were not tasting good anymore.  I would light up and throw it out sooner and sooner.  Eventually I would take one drag and toss it.  Finally just gave them up.  Tried to go back one time after that and just could not stand the taste anymore.  I consider myself very lucky in this regard, but there are still times when the thought of smoking still makes me want to try them again.  So far have managed to hold off.  I highly recommend quiting when the time is right, however, not at the expense of your clean time.  Congrats on the 10 days, thats a long time without dope.  guv

It's weird because i have no desire to smoke when i am not taking pills.  Everytime i go at it cold turkey i also quit smoking.  I guess that is a bit of a double whammy, but again i just don't have the desire.  But if i take just one pill i have to have a pack of cigs!  Go for it!  You will feel so much better.  Also, congrats on day 10!  You are doing great.  Take care and stay strong!
