I've been using heroin and cocaine together through IV for the last year every day and recently i've been experiencing extreme pain after doing a shot the same size i've done in the past, it feels like i may be having mini heart attacks, but sometimes i can relieve the pain by burping.. after the pain dies down, i feel a burning sensation for a while after, and feel as if i cannot move my arm too much or it will cause a sharp pain in my heart. what exactly could this be, and i'm trying to get off this stuff (for the sake of my family and getting rid of cps) and what is the best route to go about this for someone with no finances or ability to be in an inpatient  program, possibly like a private doctor detox or something? i'm currently concerned about the chest pain so i can avoid hurting myself until i can get a solution for my addiction and end it all together, please if anyone has a successful suggestion for treatment, ill take any advise out there. thank you . p.s. i know the hardest thing to do is understand how heroin addiction isn't as easy to kick as people think unless you have done it first hand. so i appreciate advise from anyone but if you've been through this and know the magic cure let me know thanks. if you have some words of wisdom you will be doing me and my beautiful baby girl the best favor of our lives.

Heroin is my doc and I do know what it is like first hand to withdrawal for it. I have done it more times then I care to count. For me, it was not only about the drug but about the method.

It took me several rehabs and several stints in jail to get clean. Rehab and intense aftercare is what I needed and I highly recommend it.

Your next dose could be your last and I think you know that. You can't continue to live like this. It is a dead end.

This is about the only place you are going to find besides maybe some NA meeting, where WE do understand what you are going through.  99% of the people out there wont even have a clue about what its like to go through wd's. I know I had to educate and explain how wd's work to some of my best friends that I use to help make sure I dont get side tracked.

I would suggest atleast getting checked out in the ER........unless you have a primary doc you can see. you need to get a physical and its time to work on a game plan.


I am very anti replacement narcotics,like sub and methadone, but given what you have been doing, It might be your only route. you definitely need to shake the coke asap.

I was pleased to see the eagle post here as I could not be sure with the medical.. You do have to quit.. I have quit shooting coke and Heroin.. have mixed but not for as long as you.. the coke I would stop first with the needle.. You will have intense feeling of irritation during this period.. a week later I would stop the H.. yep ct is the fastest and simplest way out in your situation.. You can quit both but in my honest opinion.. this is a pretty rough road especially with the explosive emotions coming off the coke.. this is just my opinion so take what you will.. Most junkies know what wd is about.. the sooner you do this the better off you will be.. I wish you well.. lesa

There is no magic bullet, my friend. But you can quit the stuff. You are currently experiencing this pain? And nothing has change with suppliers or the dope you get? You do have reason to be concerned. Those pains are probably called farcts and they are mini heart attacks. Think of it like a stroke in your heart. One little one wont necessarily kill you (although it could..) but stack up a bunch of them and you have a lot of dead heart to try and live with. Then again, with the coke use your heart is probably also enlarged - -  not a good recipe for enjoying that baby........ The absolute first thing that you need to do today is get rid of the needle. It is an addiction in itself. And totally unhealthy.  People here will be able to give you some advice and support and answer questions for you - - - keep posting.

wow if that isnt enough to scare you off the drugs i dont know what is..it sounds like you're one of the lucky ones who actually get a warning sign before keeling over dead from speedballs. I know River PHoenix didnt get a warning he just collapsed dead in the street that night from that..
Ive never done coke or H so I cant give you specific advice. There are alot of people here who can though. Keep checking back in here frequently, once more people wake up you will get some good advice.. I "only" took opiate pillls, so have no clue about coke and H detox.   Im glad you came here and found us though, this place may just save your life..
