I agree with all of the above.  If you are gettting that much sleep you are truly blessed.  It usually takes about a month or more to get your sleep straightened out.
I am sure you wake up feeling tired and perhaps you do not get the deep sleep that you want but if you are doing this good already you are doing better than most.
Like I said....to the best of my knowledge....I have never heard anyone getting that much sleep during the initial w/ds.  I am happy for you that you are feeling better other than that and I hope your days keep getting better.  Taking some b12 vitamins and eating some healthy unprocessed foods like whole grains and fruits will aid in giving you energy throughout the day.  Whatever you are doing, keep doing it.

HI   if your getting 4 to 5hr sleep a night that is great  i went 2 to 3 mo without a decent nights sleep methadone is a real mother&ucker to quit
make shure your getting the right vitamins  not to much will help with the sleep but time.....whey protein shakes are good and cheep 14 bucks for a 2lb can get it at walmart for 15 bucks drink 2 a day this will get you a lot of the amino acids that help rebuild your brain  keep in mind methadone is very cyclic you will go threw all stage going in and out of withdrawals so be prepared for some down time keep posting for support we all want to see you make it ........................Gnarly

Jen, even if you don't know it you're doing great. 17 days off M. & 4 off the tabs and you're sleeping 4-5 hrs. a night? That's amazing and it bodes really well for you. I'm over three months off of M. and I just started getting 4 hrs a couple of days ago. By all accounts you should be in the middle of acute w/d's yet you're sleeping. What I'm saying, is that if you stick this out you'll be sleeping better pretty soon. Keep the faith and be patient w/ the process.Your progress is amazing. Hang in there. Everyone's different and you're one of the lucky ones.
