I wake up to stomach hurting and burning every morning.  What could be wrong?

Cocaine gave me really bad stomach pains and they lasted about 3 months - I was told that I have dydpepsia. Basically this means that I need to modify my diet as it will prevent serious heartburn.

Maybe a change to your diet may help?  I am unabvle to eat spicy food, tea, coffee, fatty fast food, fizzy drinks or drink alcohol.

I'm not qualified to give medical advice but it might help.

2mg of sub is to high of a dose to jump off is my personal opinion. I'm sorry, that seems to be American doctors advice. In Europe they sell .2mg pills. If your DOC had lots of Tylenol, that might cause stomach issues as well. I'm not sure what would counter act the Tylenol. I've had friends with ulcers from Hydro/Tylenol addiction. Maybe ask at a health food store what you might use until you can reach your doctor. Chinese curing pills and bail tea have worked wonders for me. Taste bad but feels good. Keep us posted.

Yes, I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks.  I'm trying to eat and have been seeing a dr., but haven't been able to get in touch with him since this has gotten so bad with my stomach.   Thanks for your response.

I think the burning, gnawing pain is common for about a month post detox, especially if you have a sensitive tummy. Are you eating ok? Do you have weight loss? Starchy foods seems to help in those first few weeks. Don't hesitate to see a Doc if it persist. Congrats on your recovery!!!

This can be pretty common once we have detoxed.  Have you tried anything like Zantac or pepcid?  If this continues you may want to have this checked out with your doctor.

I'm sorry.  I've been posting for awhile and just assume people know.  I have been detoxing from suboxone that I was on for 5 wks.  8mg most and tapered down to 2mg and stopped.  I have been out of week for 3 weeks and very sick.  I now have the stomach isssues every day that I wake up to burning and hurting.   Do you think it is related to anxiety?  I'm on a medication for anxiety because I have had it something awful.

I have to assume that because your posting in the addiction abuse forum instead of the stomach problem forum that your problems may be from the pills you are taking. The lack of information you give makes it impossible to suggest advice. Would you like togive us more to work with please? Then we will hopefully be able to help.

Are you detoxing?   What pills do you take?    If I had that problem, I would be thinking along the lines that I might have an ulcer.    I stopped taking my anti-inflammatory pill for that reason.    Check with your doctor.
