suboxone for pain

I have had chronic back pain since a 2000 auto accident. The majority of the years since I have been on high doses of opiates and had been abusing them too. I decided to quit (the day my doctor decided to stop giving them to me) 7 months ago and have heard subuxone is a pssible alternative to opiates for chronic pain. Anyone have any experience with this?

Suboxone doesnt do anything for my pain, although its a strong synthetic opiate its only a partial agonist so the pain relief is different. Ive heard of some people who use injections of buprenex which Id imagine is for quite severe pain, but suboxone isnt really designed for pain management more for getting off of opiates. Wish you all the best, look into as many different methods as possible, there are others out there that can replace opiates.

I was on oxys for 10 yrs for chronic pain. Went on sub b/c well, never mind that. Anyway, the sub doesn't even touch my pain AT ALL. My tolerance was very high though
