Wow, a coma, not good! I am very glad you have two weeks worth of meds left. I would also try to taper down as much as I could from what you have left. If you have the strips, cut, cut, cut! If you have pills, cut, cut, cut! I know how hard it is, I've been on them for like 690 days and wish I would have NEVER went the sub route. And yes, these addicted brains are VERY cunning and baffling, that's why aftercare is such a must. Do you attend any meetings, counseling, etc? Most sub docs (at least the good ones) make sure you attend counseling in order to keep prescribing the sub.
no thank god i have 2 weeks worth to get into a suboxone dr! opiates are the devil ive been hospitalized 10 times due to either overdose of oxycontin or withdrawl! my last overdose put me in a coma for 8 days! that would scare anyone from using again right? wrong 1 month later got back to buying oxys off the street cunning and baffeling!!!
yea i have 2 weeks left to find a new dr
Hi,
I am also on suboxone. 4 mgs. is a pretty high dosage to jump from and I wouldn't recommend it. Most people usually have to taper down to crumbs. It does have a super long half life so I'm not surprised it took so long for the withdrawals to kick in, but once they do they aren't pretty. A lot of sub docs are just in it for the money, like atthebeach said above and I completely agree with her. The doctor - if she knows her stuff - should have KNOWN jumping from 4 mgs. would have been TERRIBLE. Some of these sub docs make me so mad. I would definitely find another sub doctor and taper down from 4 mgs slowly. Do NOT let the new doc put you on any higher of a dosage than that. If a new doctor tries to do that, keep searching! Did you have more sub, or did you have to find pills to ease the withdrawals?
i cant imagine she didnt know you would get sick. she was probably pissed you didnt want to continue to take them. all about the money.
so you still have some ?
actually i told my dr i was ready to get off it so she didnt write a script?? you would think she would of known id get sick? im actually in the process of finding a new suboxone dr! that withdrawl was horrible i couldnt stop crying?? not to mention the physical effects!!
oh yes. tapering is a must. are you doing this yourself or with a doctor?
many people even will taper down to slivers.
