Hey honey! You will feel better in a few days. You are making the best decision of your life...getting off the pills. However you decide to do it, it's great that you are!
Get some imodium, epsom salt for baths, advil, a good mag/cal supplement for RLS, gatorade and apple juice. Staying hydrated is important, and the AJ has lots of potassium for the leg cramps! You are going to feel sick no matter what you do, but this stuff will ease some of the symptoms.
Is there anyone who could help you with your child for a few days if you stop cold turkey? It would be hard to take care of a needy little one during that. I have a 19 month old, and there would be NO way!!!
Thank you both. I have at times taken up to 20 in a day, since I've been trying to taper down, the minimum of 5 keeps me well. My husband has kind of changed his view on all of this and wants me to quit cold turkey to just get it over with, which I agree with! But it's SO HARD! I'm past 24 hours now with nothing and I'm reallllly starting to ache. I will definitely look up what you've suggested. I sure hope that 6 days from now I'll feel better....seems soo far away tho. Damn pills :(
HI well it sound like your ready to do something about this so there are 2 ways to do it
both have advantages and disadvantages...tapering like your doing will lessen your final withdrawal but it takes a lot of discipline to do...you also go thew some withdrawals wile doing it so it prolongs the process...C/T or just jumping off gets it done and over with a lot faster you will be sick for about a week kinda like having the flu with a little added anxiety but it is a direct and strait forward approach ether way will get it done it just witch way your more comfortable with....let us know witch one you think would be best for you
and also how much your currently taking...I will check back tomorrow to see your answer..keep posting where all here for your support .good luck and God bless....Gnarly
Hi and welcome to the forum. How many are you taking a day? Check out the health pages as there is good info in there on healthy supplements that will help. There is the amino acids or the Thomas recipe. Tapering down will help but you dont want to do that real fast either. We are here to support you......sara
