Well, yes, that makes a big difference, you didn't make that clear.

As for how you're feeling, there's no magic timetable, no magic remedy that will make you feel back to "normal".  It definitely takes a significant amount of time.  The receptors have to bounce back, and your brain has to learn (again) how to make the "feel good" chemicals that were being replaced so long with opiates.

Things you can do are to adopt a consistent exercise regimen (natural endorphins are very good), eat healthy, avoid any mind altering substances, and most importantly....get involved in aftercare.  Once an addict is clean, the work doesn't end....actually it just starts.  Believe it or not, GETTING clean is the easy part, compared to STAYING clean.

Keep talking to us!

Sorry, I mixed up Vishnu and Ganesha, I was typing fast and had to get my kids to school. I don't know about everyone, but faith played a huge roll in my recovery. And yes, by all means, you can give Vishnu your problems. The great Yogis practice patience and surrender. Buddha said, "Life is suffering," and he had to learn that, before he could reach the Dharma state of Nirvana. Lao Tsu professed that resistance to the Tao is pointless and unbalanced, Yin and Yang depend on each other. Jesus said to surrender to the Will of God. that is surrender and acceptance in one action. All those great leaders had to live through some hard times, but their success has not been forgotten over thousands of years of time. You are better than drugs, you have so much to offer, the drugs are trying to stop you. Embrace a new master, allow your potential to flower and be seen. A new you is being born, birth is painful, but years of joy follow.

The Yogi path is many different roads that all lead to the One destination. I focus on Karma Yoga, I tried to understand Hinduism in my travels to India, but found it always alluded me. I felt like I would have to live with a Hindu born family for years to start to get the nuances of that most ancient of religions.

Kratom is likely helping with physical symptoms, but not so much the healing. Kratom works on the same brain receptors as opiates and opioids, so your natural chemistry is not healing entirely. If we feed our brain chemicals, natural or synthetic, our body is efficient, it won't make any chemicals it doesn't have to. I have not tried kratom, but friends have and told me that it helped for acute physical detox, but tolerance to kratom builds fast. Those who used it successful and are clean more than a year, used it short term and just dealt with the rest with no mood altering chemicals or herbs. Does it feel like it's helping? I wouldn't use it too long, or go up in dose, if it feels it isn't helping as much. People have come to this forum to get help kicking kratom, just so you know.
