That's awesome. And in some cases it is used in the way you did. Many inpatient detoxes use very small amounts of sub to, like you said, take the edge off. But you still take the brunt of the withdrawl. I took the longer road with a 6 month taper. I actually wish I would have gone your route and been off quicker, but with work I couldn't have any withdrawl symtoms. I guess the method depends on the person...but ultimately its just great that we are all getting clean.
YES IT DOES FOR TAKE TIME T ORECOVER. I AM NOT RELALY RECOVERING FROM SUB IT IS THE OPAITES THE SUB IS JUST THERE TO GIVE ME A LITTLE BOOST TO AMEK IT THROUGH THE FIRST WEEK OR SO. I DINT GO COLD TURKEY THOUGH I DID TWP DAY OD 2ML SUB. I AM CLEAN NOW FOR 6 DAYS OFF OF OPAITES AND ONLY HAVE TOOK 2ML THE FIRS DAY WHEN I WAS HAVING WITHDRAWELS AND THEN 2ML ON WED IT IS NOW FRIDAY SO I AM NOT WITHDRAWING I AM FEELINGTHE EFFECTS OF USING DRUGS FOR APPROX 8 MONTHS. SUBOXONME IS A WONDERFUL DRUG IT HAS HELPED MANY PEOPLE THAT I LOVE AND CARE FOR I JUST DONT WANT TO BE ON IT. I WANT TO LIVE LIFE FREE BUT I HAV ETO GET PAST THE TIREDNESS AND ACHY
It definitly does not take 20 days to recover from Suboxone if you are taking it correctly. I can't imagine someone abusing it and the going cold turkey...that it suppose could lead to trouble. But if you do it right it eliminates almost all feelings. I did a taper from 16mg to basically .5mg to nothing over the span of 6 months and felt literally no discomfort. Eventually I just forgot to take it more and more often and I was done. Done right....suboxone is a miracle.
Going on a two week binge and then using sub for essentially a day and half isn't going to matter much. That binge negates any kind of tapering that you did with the suboxone previously. And a 2 day taper isn't really a taper at all. The withdrawl feelings are to be expected......but you are 3-4 days clean and feeling better, which is awesome. I think the general consensus around here is that if you make it to 5-6 days you will really start to feel like yourself again. Good luck and don't slip. And if you do...take your docs advice on the taper. I think we all have learned that self-diagnosis and playing doctor only leads to trouble. ;)
It takes 20 days to feel norman after sub you say? What;s the point of taking something with a longer withdrawl than opiates. Also when you said you are done with heroin, be carefull. I said it and heard it many many times to no avail. all the best
it is now friday and i have not took any sub since wednesday at 12 and that was only a small 2ml. i have SLIGHT ANXIETY AND IM TIRED BUT I BELIEVE THAT I AM GETTING BETTER I AM GOING TO GO AS FAR AS I CAN TILLI EVEN THINK OF TAKING ANOTHER ML. I HAVE BEEN WALKING AND DING HTE TREDMILL. I ALSO HAVEBEEN TKAING B6 AND B12 VITAMNS WHICH CAN GET ME ALITTLE RACY BUT I AM STILL TRUCKING
