subutex, suboxone
does anyone know the difference between subutex and suboxone? I am going to talk to my dr today and want to know what the difference is...thnk you
not sure..but there is one.....i was on (doctor perscribed)...Subutex way more powerfull and works better and less headaches. I think you can abuse Subutex thats why they dont like to give it...Suboxone cannot be abused as easy....
Suboxone has Naloxone which pushes any opiate off the receptors to detear any misuse. The other is pure buphrenorphine
the Nalaxone also prevents other opiates from having any effect if you try and use while taking suboxone. You need to be into full withdrawal before taking your first dose of either drug or you will go into precipitated withdrawal which is apparently much worse than any other withdrawal..
They are basically the same. Suboxone has something in it to stop you from injecting it. If suboxone is injected you will go into w/d. I believe it is called Naloxone (not sure of spelling. Otherwise they are the same drug. Most doctors seem to be using the suboxone. Hope this helps.
