Help

I have been taking oxy for 6 years 20mgs. 2 to 3 xs a day. I need to get off. Also I was on clonespam 2 at night. My dr. cut me off the clonespam cold turkey and I started to go thru withdrawal. She never told me I needed to be weaned off slowly, as this is also a narcotic. Once I started going thru that withdrawal I decided to go thru oxyi also, So  from readin the other posts, not really a good idea. I should be cuttting the oxyi down slowly and carefully and at my own pace. Someone please help me with this... I haven't found a doctor that really knows what they are doing.    I am also trying to quit smoking and cutting back on caffeine. Can someone tell me if I am crazy. Or has any suggestions for me. I hope so. I pray everyday for God to get me thru this. But I also need help here on earth. Thanks

hi, drew is right its goingto be so hard to stop everything, i think the first is to stop the oxy, i was addicted to (still am but clean for 86 days)benzos and codeine, i tried and failed to do it all at once ,but managed it seperately, so i would do the oxy, then the clonazepam, as a benzo it has to be done more slowly, then the ciggies, keep posting, and god bless.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on wanting to get clean.  If you were on clonazepam you need to taper off this one.  This drug is a benzodiazepine used for anxiety.  Can you find another doctor who could taper you off this drug?  You should not stop this drug abruptly.  The oxy is a bit different in that you will go thru a withdrawal but it is usually not dangerous.

I would also encourage you to take one step at a time.  Trying to quit too many things at once might be too much.  Maybe you could get off the drugs first and then address the smoking?

Good luck!
